Hillside to compete in Fenn Tournament

The Hillside School Athletics Department has announced that Hillside's Varsity Basketball team will compete in the 29th Annual Fenn Varsity Basketball Tournament on Saturday, February 20.

In advance of the tournament, Hillside Dean of Athletics and Summer Term Michael Foster issued the following letter to Hillside parents:

On Saturday February 20, 2010, Hillside’s Varsity Basketball team will be participating in the 29th annual Fenn basketball tournament. This is a great opportunity for the boys to compete against schools of similar mission and enrollment.

The tournament, hosted by Fenn School in Concord, MA, will feature Fay, Fenn, Fessenden and Hillside schools. Hillside will face Fenn in the opening game at 9:00 am, followed by Fay vs. Fessenden at 10:30 am. Lunch and shooting contests will follow from 12:00-12:45 pm. The consolation and championship games will take place at 1:00 pm and 2:15 pm.

We expect that we will complete the tournament no later than 4:00 pm. Parents of five-day boarders and day students may choose to collect their son from Fenn or at Hillside School upon our return. Students are also welcome to stay here at Hillside. In fact it is recommended, since the bus will depart at approximately 7:30 am on February 20.

It is necessary for parents to notify the athletic office about their son’s transportation and overnight needs for this required event. Parents are welcome to attend, as I am sure that the games will be well played by all of the boys in the tournament.
