Across all grades, topics include literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
Math
Students are placed according to grade level and ability in the following courses:
General Math (grades 5-7)
Pre-Algebra (grades 6-8)Geometry (grades 8-9) Algebra I (grades 8-9)

Grade 5: Ancient CivilizationsGrade 6: Geography, with a focus on Asia and AfricaGrade 7: US History (Colonizations to the Civil War)Grade 8: US History (Civil War to the present) Grade 9: Peace Studies, Economics, American Government (one topic per trimester)
ScienceGrade 5: Environmental ScienceGrade 6: Cells and Heredity; Human Biology and HealthGrade 7: Bacteria, Plants, & Earth's WatersGrade 8: Inside Earth; Weather & Climate; Motion, Forces, & EnergyGrade 9: Biology
International Languages
Grade 7: Latin, Spanish, French (one term introduction to each language)Grade 8: Latin, Spanish, OR French (students choose to study one language)Grade 9: Students continue their study of French, Spanish or Latin
