6th Grade Teacher (AY 2023-2024)
Hillside School, a Junior Boarding School serving grades 4-9, is seeking an enthusiastic Elementary teacher for our 6th Grade classroom. We are looking for someone with a strong academic background and passion for teaching middle school students beginning in September 2023. The ideal candidate is able to tailor instruction to help students develop interest and excitement for the subject matter and to differentiate instruction based on individual needs to help every student achieve academic success
This candidate should be prepared to teach Sixth grade material to all levels of learners in a self-contained classroom. Subjects covered include reading, language arts, math, and geography. Other desired qualifications include being a team player, a sense of humor, and a creative and positive approach to teaching
Qualified candidates should embrace boarding school life. They must be willing to teach a full schedule (16-20 periods per week), coach two seasons of sports, and possibly reside on campus covering scheduled dorm duties on evenings and weekends. Science Teacher (AY 2022-2023)
Hillside School, a Junior Boarding School serving grades 4-9, is seeking an enthusiastic full time Science Teacher with a strong academic background and passion for teaching middle school students beginning as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate is able to tailor instruction to help students develop interest and excitement for the subject matter and to differentiate instruction based on individual needs to help every student achieve academic success. This candidate should be prepared to teach middle school Science to all levels of learners, particularly Eighth Grade with an emphasis on introductions to physical science and chemistry and Ninth Grade Biology. Other desired qualifications include being a team player, a sense of humor, and a creative and positive approach to teaching.

Mathematics Teacher (AY 2022-2023)
Hillside School, a Junior Boarding School serving grades 4-9, is seeking an enthusiastic Math teacher with a strong academic background and passion for teaching middle school students beginning in September 2022. The ideal candidate is able to tailor instruction to help students develop interest and excitement for the subject matter and to differentiate instruction based on individual needs to help every student achieve academic success.
This candidate should be prepared to teach middle school math to all levels of learners. This includes fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh grade general math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry and Algebra II. Other desired qualifications include being a team player, a sense of humor, and a creative and positive approach to teaching.
