IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Structure
In MYP, there are 8 required Subject Groups. Through these eight different subject areas, MYP students engage in a program of learning that is both broad and balanced. They are encouraged to dig deeply into key concepts that frame the importance of their studies, as well as connect each subject to one another to create more authentic learning contexts. As they progress through this five-year programme, MYP students become more aware of and reflective about their strengths and areas for growth as learners.
These links give an overview of each of the eight academic subject areas in the MYP. The subject briefs are short documents providing an outline of the course. Click on the links to find out more information about each subject.
