Application Process

Thank you for your interest in Hillside School. It is our primary objective to make the application process as straightforward and as stress-free as possible.

The first step towards admission consideration is to fill out an online inquiry form and provide us with some basic information. Application Process

To apply to Hillside School, please complete all of the steps listed below. All materials may be emailed to the Admissions Office, sent by fax to 508-485-4420 or mailed to 404 Robin Hill Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.

Completed Application Form

All prospective students must complete an Application for Admission, and submit the application fee. Click "Apply Online" to complete Hillside's online application and see below for application fee payment information.

Application Fee

Each applicant is required to submit a nonrefundable fee of $50. This fee may be paid online using a credit or debit card. Checks made payable to Hillside School will also be accepted.

A complete copy of the applicants transcripts should be forwarded to the Admission Office. Please download the Transcript Release Form to submit a transcript request to your son's current school.

Math and English Recommendations

Completed copies of both a Math and English Recommendation Form are required. For Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade applicants, these recommendations may be provided by the same teacher.

Writing Sample

Each applicant is required to submit a graded writing sample, we do not require SAO's supplemental essays (optional).

Parent Statement

Parents must provide a statement about their son. There is no form for the Parent Statement. Please describe your son's strengths and weaknesses along with your goals for your son while attending Hillside. This information will eventually be shared with your son's academic advisor.

Standardized Testing

Hillside School requires copies of applicants most recent standardized testing. For the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Grades, acceptable tests include the SSAT, ISEE, or WISC. For Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grades, the school accepts any current standardized testing.

On-Campus Interview

Each prospective student is required to visit Hillside for an on campus interview with a member of our Admission team. A visit to campus will include a student tour of campus, the opportunity for parents to ask the student tour guide questions, an interview for both the student and parents, and a short writing sample for the student.

Our preferred campus visit schedule is as follows:

Monday: 10 a.m. or 1:15 p.m.

Tuesday: 9 a.m. or 11 a.m.

Wednesday: 1:15 p.m. or 2 p.m.

Thursday: 9 a.m. or 11 a.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. or 11 a.m.
