Application Process

Hillside Lower School is currently accepting applications for grades K-3.

Thank you for your interest in Hillside School. We are delighted that you are considering Hillside for your student, and we hope you find this process as easy and accessible as possible. Below are step-by-step directions to guide you from your initial inquiry to your finalized application.

Tuition and Financial Aid

For Fall 2026, Hillside Lower School tuition varies by grade level:

• Kindergarten: $19,950 
• Grade 1: $22,950 
• Grade 2: $25,950
• Grade 3: 28,950

Applying For Financial Aid

Hillside encourages eligible families to apply for financial aid. Awarded aid is reviewed on an annual basis for families that show a demonstrated need. Returning students must also be in good academic and social standing to remain eligible.

As part of this process, families should expect to do the following:

1. Speak with a member of our Admission Team for a full overview of the process.
2. Visit sss.nais.org to complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). Note that you can fill out one PFS for all schools to which your son is applying. Our code is 3908.
3. For help with the online application, consult the PFS instructions offered on sss.nais.org or contact their toll-free helpline at (800) 344-8328.
4. The SSS (School & Student Services) process should be completed no later than February 1st. Additionally, applicants for financial aid should plan to file their taxes as early as possible.

Dates & Deadlines

January 31: Priority Admissions Applications Due

Decisions are made on a rolling basis. Applications will continue to be accepted after the priority deadline and will be considered as space is available.

To be considered for Financial Aid, candidates must complete the Applicant Checklist as well as submit all financial aid requirements through the School & Student Services (SSS) by February 1.
