The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized educational approach that focuses on developing curious, compassionate, and lifelong learners. IB programs emphasize critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and student-centered learning. Rather than focusing solely on memorization, IB encourages students to make connections across subjects and apply their learning to real-world situations. In 2025, Hillside became an authorized IB World School offering the Middle Years Programme (MYP), which serves students aged 11-16. We will use the IB as a framework for lower school students as we pursue authorization for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), which serves students aged 3-12.

While the standard eligibility date is turning five by August 31, we recognize that each child develops at their own pace and will consider individual readiness as part of the enrollment decision.
